Setting up Your Custom REtaining Ring

A1 – Major diameter of thread.

A2 – Thread pitch

B1 – Locating lip outside diameter.

C – Locating lip length. The locating bears against the inside diameter of the hole the ring is being installed in. It protects the threads from coming in direct contact with the side walls.

D – Outside diameter of the retaining ring

E – Bearing lip length. Thickness of the lip which secures the ring in place.

F – Notch width. Notches need to be sized for the clients spanner wrench. The S.K. Grimes Spanner Wrench will fit a 1.5mm wide notch.

F - Wrench Notches Width

Default dimension are 1.5mm wide. Depth determined by machinist.
