S.K. Grimes is a one-stop design, fabrication and finishing shop. We apply simplicity and ingenuity to technical problems. We find the most effective and practical solutions. Our decades of experience allow a good result at a practical price, even in cases where others have failed. We follow through.

We are internationally recognized as a go-to manufacturer for custom photographic equipment, but our abilities and experience extend into a multitude of other industries including scientific devices, recreational sporting, home construction, entertainment and the fine arts. If you have an idea, whether it is on a napkin or in a detailed electronic format, we are well situated to help you make it a reality.

S.K.Grimes is fully equipped machine shop with CAD/CAM capabilities and certified Solidwork Technicians. We work mostly with Southwestern Prototrak machines which are ideal for prototyping and small batch production. Laser etching/cutting equipment, standard metal forming equipment and custom-made tools complete our work space. If we don’t have the right tool for the job, we have an extensive network of experienced artisans and tradespersons with whom we collaborate.
